 1953-79 Pulley Shim
  Ensure that you have the correct amount of shims on your pulley, VW installed 8 shims, when the correct fan belt tension was achieved any remaining shims were put under the pulley nut washer. For example, 5 shims for fan belt tension, 3 shims go under the washer.
